Modbus RTU
The Data Logger exposes an RS-485 bus on pins 4 and 5 of the CAN1 and CAN2 RJ45 connectors, intended for Modbus RTU equipment like energy meters, engine and genset controllers, and PLCs.
Modbus integrations are delivered on request. Contact us with the equipment model and the data you need, and we will validate the register map and polling configuration with you before deployment.
Bus pins
The pins are identical on both connectors, which allows daisy chaining with other Modbus equipment. See the CAN1 connector and CAN2 connector tables for the full pinout.
